"So what brought you here?" Nathan asked me as we walked down the street to the local park.

"I took your advice!" I jumped up and down. I felt happier than a school girl. Wait, I am a school girl, so then am i happier than myself? Oh I'm confused now.

"So we are both free from her? No more torture?" He asked calmly, but I could hear the excitement bubbling up in his voice.

"I am free, you however, are not." The happy expression on his face dropped to a blank emotionless one. "I told her about me, not so much you. Your still kinda in, and she has this funny idea that I have a crush on you. Now don't kill me for this, but she is going to ask you out to get back at me. Cliche right?" I tried to laugh to make the situation feel lighter than it is.

"Little girl you better run before I make it so you never see the night again!" And with that I took off into a run but he was always faster than me. I ran to the park hoping my tree climbing skills, from when I was little, would come through for me.

I ran past a few old friends, Rachel, Cara, and Logan. I used to be best friends with Rachel Covington up until we went our separate ways around junior high. She was out with her friends getting some late night photography in. Rachel always had nice photographs. I knew she had a small liking towards Nathan, and he returned the favor, but neither of them would listen to me.

Rachel was small and thin, with light brown hair and hazel eyes. She was a very beautiful girl, who would go great with a beautiful boy like Nathan. Her personality was just as great.

"Hey shorty, come down from there!" Nathan looked up at me and I smiled playfully at him.

"I am squirrel girl, hear me roar!" He laughed at me.

"Squirrel girl? Can't think of anything better?"

I thought for a moment..."Koala girl? That better?" I asked.

"A little..but that is besides the point. Come down here, you're going to hurt yourself!"

"I shan't ever leave my fortress of wood and trees. I shall stand here and fight!"

"Hey guys, can I use you both in some pictures?" Rachel shyly walked over with Cara and Logan.

"Uh, um, well, huh...." Nathan was lost for words like he always was when around her.

"Of course you can." I said for him.

"Okay so, Nathan sit on the ground and look down. Evan, stay up there and look wishfully up at the stars. Cara stand on one side, Nathan on the other, and form a heart with your fingers above Nathan's head. Ready, one...two...three!" She took a few pictures from different angles. "Thank you guys. See you later!" She waved and Nathan barely stuttered out a goodbye.

As soon as she was out of the park I jumped down. Nathan was still watching her walk away.

"Somebody is a stalker!" I giggled and poked him in the ribs and he broke out of his trance and looked at me.

"Yeah sure Evan whatever you say." I giggled more. "If I am a stalker, then you are the queen giggle whore!" I giggled more than slapped my hand over my mouth.

"Well, isn't little miss traitor..." We turned around to see Emily. Sweet, Sweet Emily, standing there with her hands behind her back looking more fiery then I have ever seen her in my entire life.

"Emily? what the hell?" I was highly confused at the look on her face. It almost didn't look look her. She sweet, gentle, beautiful smile was gone, replaced with a smirk, and her eyes looked like they had a fire behind them.

"Everything that just went on, I have on camera. Your out, and soon Nathan will be too. That leave a whole lot of room for me. With you two gone, I will be two steps closer to taking Lily's popularity. That popularity should be mine! She has no style, no personality. I do, I deserve all that fame! And it will be mine." We just started at her in shock. "So anyway, Nathan, don't bother sitting with us tomorrow, I will have shown Lily the tape by then, and well Evan, don't even bother coming to school.  After what you said to Lily, should should hate yourself so much. Yeah well, bye!" with that she got into the car waiting on the curb and dove us, leaving me and Nathan awestruck.
